Her best friend Gear, is a drone-squirrel that she built herself. They can fly by splitting the three parts of their tail.
Like many artists do, I based a character on my myself. Not in appearance, but in personality. Since I've fostered 3 squirrels (Andy, Bindi, & Craimer) and I'm very into robots an alien, mechanic who built her own squirrel companion is very much in my wheelhouse.
